A small Minecraft SMP built entirely around Create Aeronautics. Build airships, lay rail, and connect four isolated regions into one living world — no elytra, no teleporting, just engineering.
Create: Aloft is a small, friendly SMP for people who love Create's slow-burn engineering. The server runs Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge with Create Aeronautics and a curated selection of companion mods. No kitchen-sink pack, no power-creep — just the tools you need to build things that actually move.
You start in one of four isolated regions alongside a handful of other players. Your faction controls its own land, its own resources, and its own direction. The goal is to connect those regions into a living network — airship routes, rail lines, and trading infrastructure built entirely by the players who need them.
Movement is earned. If Create didn't make it, it doesn't carry you.
An extension to the Create mod that lets you build functional, physics-aware airships out of actual blocks. Ships stall, drift, and respond to weight. If it can't fly, you redesign it until it can.
Season 01 runs around 150 players across four factions. Small enough that you know your crewmates, large enough that the economy and infrastructure problems are real. The modpack installs in one click from Modrinth.
No elytra. No /home or /tpa. No teleporting of any kind. Every journey is a journey. Build the infrastructure or walk.
You don't pick you're placed. Each faction claims a 2,500x2,500 Cube.
Create Aeronautics is a mod that extends Create to let you build functional airships from real blocks. Ships obey physics: they can stall, drift, and carry cargo. If your design doesn't work, you redesign it.
Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. The official modpack is on Modrinth — install it with the Modrinth App, Prism Launcher, or any NeoForge-compatible launcher. It works on both client and server.

No. Veterans and complete beginners are both welcome. The community is small enough that experienced players are happy to teach. The mod itself has in-game documentation.
This is a friendly engineering SMP. PvP only happens when both parties agree. Griefing, theft, and unsolicited combat are grounds for removal.
Every method of travel should be something you built. Elytra and teleport commands short-circuit the infrastructure problem the server is designed around. If you want to cross a region, build the route.
Yes — the full world map is updated periodically so you can see all four regions and the routes connecting them.
